What to Do Today: Jan. 14

Hear some beautiful classical music as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 1 at 8pm today at Dallas' Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Pianist Jon Kimura Parker will join the orchestra for the stirring performance. Tickets start at $17.

Take an ocean voyage with Symphony Arlington: Wind in the Sails at 8pm today at Arlington's MetroCenter. The symphony will perform Claude Debussy's La Mer as well as other classical pieces. Tickets start at $15.

Have some fun—and learn a lot!—at Mad Science: Snow and Ice at 7pm today at the Grapevine Public Library. Budding scientists of all ages will learn about the seasons through cool science experiments. Free.
